Bonheur Weekend Mariner
he Bonheur Collection design is rooted in the heritage of the 1920’s fashion revolution, epitomising elegance and freedom. While still feminine in shape, the pure and simple blue stripes and white precious resin combined with platinum-coated fittings stand for women freed from corsets, looking towards elegant yet functional and free clothing. The striped Mariner (“Sailor") top was a popular fashion trend, a stylish design for seaside holidays which also liberated the female form from the period’s sartorial constraints. The 20th century and early 2000s saw the democratisation of the Mariner, as it was adopted by intellectuals and artists in a nod to elegance and function.
