The Conklin Pen Company established in 1898 in Toledo, Ohio, USA promptly changed the writing industry forever when it patented the self-filling pen known as the Crescent Filler, now recognised as the world’s first practical self-filling fountain pen. The pen itself became a beloved item for now spokesperson, Mark Twain. Conklin thrived and Crescent Fillers became one of the most beloved pens in history. Four resin finishes were carefully selected to honour Conklin’s rich history and evoke some of the great models of its past: Black Chase with rose gold trim, alluring Ivory with rose gold accents, Peanut Butter with chrome trim, Vintage Green with yellow gold accents, and Limited Edition Clear with rose gold trim. Hand-made in Florence Italy, fountain pen utilises Roy Conklin’s ground-breaking patented crescent filling mechanism, working as efficiently today as it did over 100 years ago, filling the ink reservoir effortlessly. Each pen is engraved with Mark Twain’s distinctive signature along the band and is equipped with the original Conklin spring loaded rocker clip patented in 1916, perfect for any pocket, jacket, or coat.
